Terms and Conditions

Last updated: [31/07/2026]

Welcome to Wild Birds World. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website located at https://wildbirds.world/ (the “Site”), operated by Wild Birds Company (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Site.

1. About This Site

Wild Birds World is an educational reference site providing information about bird species, breeds, identification, habitat, behaviour and conservation status.

The Site is informational in nature. It is not a scientific authority, a veterinary service, or a substitute for professional advice.

2. Accuracy of Information

We take accuracy seriously. Content is researched from published sources, cited where appropriate, and dated so readers can judge how current it is.

However, you should be aware of the following:

  • Ornithological information changes. Taxonomy is revised, species are split and merged, population estimates are updated, and conservation statuses are reassessed. Information that was accurate when published may become outdated.
  • Sources disagree. Where reputable sources conflict, we say so rather than silently choosing one. This means some figures on the Site are presented as ranges or as contested.
  • No warranty. Content is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no warranty, express or implied, that the information is complete, accurate, current, or fit for any particular purpose.

You use the information on this Site at your own discretion and risk. We are not liable for any decision made or action taken in reliance on it.

If you believe something on the Site is inaccurate, please tell us via our contact page. Corrections supported by a source are especially welcome.

3. Not Professional Advice

Nothing on this Site constitutes veterinary, legal, financial, or professional advice.

In particular, content relating to the keeping, breeding, feeding or care of birds is general information only. If you keep birds, consult a qualified avian veterinarian or an appropriate professional before making decisions affecting animal welfare.

Wildlife law varies by country, state and locality. Many bird species are legally protected, and activities such as handling, keeping, disturbing nests or collecting eggs or feathers may be illegal where you live. It is your responsibility to know and comply with the laws that apply to you.

4. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, all content on the Site, including text, article structure, data compilations, graphics, layout and design, is the property of Wild Birds Company and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
